Account Manager – Advertising and Corporate Sales
Up to £30,000 basic + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

My client are a leading provider of Educational literature, both printed and digital to both primary & secondary schools across the UK. Due to continued expansion we currently have a live requirement for an Account Manager to join their already established team based in Oxford, to generate global sales of a wide variety of print and online services to healthcare companies and providers, among other fields.

The Account Manager will be responsible for bulk sales of medical books (in print and online) to institutions and will also provide sales support for external agents who sell bulk stock (print and online) to pharmaceutical companies in Europe, Middle East, Australia, South American and China. The role will also provide account management and new sales for peer-reviewed, academic journal supplements. The AM will provide account management and sales development for peer-reviewed, academic journal supplements too.

This role will be split equally between book sales and journal supplement sales and both elements will have targets associated with them. You will be managing existing clients as well as pro-actively seeking out new ones. Daily activities will involve utilizing a CRM database to manage a pipeline of repeat customers and prospects so that you can contact them at the appropriate time, emailing and phoning clients and prospects, liaising with colleagues in production to get pricing information, liaising with our external book sales agents to provide them with information and researching opportunities for new business.

The ideal candidate will be sales driven and motivated by working towards and achieving sales targets. Experience of previously working in a similar role or marketplace would be useful, although full product training will given. Experience of building relationships and ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely are essential. The role will mostly be engaging with customers and clients via telephone, email and through some event and conference attendance.

The role is permanent, fulltime and Oxford based (it is not a role that will require any significant or regular travel, but will instead be office bound)
